インフルエンザワクチンについて
皆さんが一般的にイギリスで受けられているインフルエンザワクチンについてのご案内です。
「イギリスでもインフルエンザは流行るのでしょうか？」「イギリスではインフルエンザにかかったら何日くらい休むのでしょうか？」などというご質問を頂くこともありますが、今回は、「日本とイギリスはワクチンが異なるでしょうか？」というご質問の答えとなります。
イギリスにおいて日本で用いるものと完全に同じものを使用しているわけではありませんが、基本的には、WHOが推奨するワクチン組成に基づき、日本とイギリスでは、ほぼ同じ系統の株を標的としてワクチンが作られています。
WHO（世界保健機関）は例年以下のような推奨を発表します。
Recommended composition of influenza virus vaccines for use in the 2016-2017 northern hemisphere influenza season

It is recommended that trivalent vaccines for use in the 2016-2017 influenza season (northern hemisphere winter) contain the following:
A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
A/Hong Kong/4801/2014 (H3N2)-like virus;
B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus.
It is recommended that quadrivalent vaccines containing two influenza B viruses contain the above three viruses and a B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus.
この推奨に基づき、世界各国でワクチンが生産されています。
日本の国立感染症研究所の発表内容（2016/17シーズン）は以下の通りです。
A/California（カリフォルニア）/7/2009(X-179A)(H1N1)pdm09
A/Hong Kong（香港） /4801/2014(X-263)(H3N2)
B/Phuket（プーケット）/3073/2013（山形系統）
B/Texas（テキサス）/2/2013（ビクトリア系統）
イギリスで一般的に流通している2016/17シーズンのワクチン組成は以下の通りです。主に以下の3種類のワクチンを含む製剤が年齢等の適応に応じて使用されています。
１）Fluarix tetra 注射4価ワクチン
A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09 - like strain (A/Christchurch/16/2010, NIB-74xp)
A/Hong Kong/4801/2014 (H3N2) - like strain (A/Hong Kong/4801/2014, NYMC X-263B
B/Brisbane/60/2008 - like strain (B/Brisbane/60/2008, wild type)（ビクトリア系統）
B/Phuket/3073/2013 - like strain (B/Phuket/3073/2013, wild type)（山形系統）
２）Influenza virus surface antigens (haemagglutinin and neuraminidase) 注射3価ワクチン
